The 1.5 Edition of the DarkEnergy Roleplay Game
Our first Core Rulebook used the OGL 1.0a as the foundation and allowed the game to be 5e compatible. However, since the rulebook's publishing there had been changes to the OGL both proposed and later repealed. To avoid any future changes to the OGL, we have removed the OGL content and rewrote the rulebook to be our own independent system that uses a Creative Commons License to allow anyone to use our game.
The original 5e compatible rulebook will still be available for purchase but will no longer be supported. All future monsters, adventures, and assets will be made for 1.5 rules.

Some of the major changes to the rules include:
Removed Ability Scores and replaced them with a Talent system
Removed Class Archetypes and replaced them with a Class Skill Tree
No level cap
Changed how Character Creation works
Simplified Spellcasting
Expanded on Psionic Powers
Redesigned creature stats
Changed the rules on Death, Dying and Healing
Updated Conditions
Rebalanced Cybernetics and Mutations
Added Weapon Quality and new Critical Hit rules
Includes a new Character Sheet
